Grove School in Madison, CT seeks a creative, dynamic, assertive, clinically-oriented residential administrator for the adolescent girl’s program.
Position Description:
- Manage residential campus of 105 students and 30 staff members with a team of administrators and directors
- Supervise female dorms including the training and management of residential staff
- Maintain a caseload of advisees and coordinate treatment with their families, therapists, psychiatrists , teachers and dorm staff
- Create, implement and evaluate social and emotional goals and objectives for advisees
- Maintain communication with families
- Attend and co-facilitate family therapy sessions
- Conduct informal and formal meetings with advisees
- Create and evaluate behavioral interventions
- Create and facilitate therapeutic activities
Qualifications:
- Masters and/or Bachelors Degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Social Work or some other relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with adolescents with social and emotional issues in a residential setting
- Ability to work in an intensive environment including weekend and evening duties
- Management experience preferred
- Varied interests and abilities
