NATSAP's Role
NATSAP is not a referral or placement agency. We are a volunteer membership organization supporting professionals and programs in their efforts to help troubled young people. NATSAP does not provide oversight of our member programs, believing that responsibility lies with the licensing and accrediting agencies.

The NATSAP Directory is published annually with the same information available on this website. A hard copy of the directory may be obtained by completing the Program Directory Order Form.

The on-line directory is updated as schools and programs join our organization. You may list all schools and programs or use the search tools to filter choices that may best meet your needs.

A Category Search is available to search the Directory by using any combination of four lists: 1) State; 2) Program Type, 3) Age Range; and/or Gender. Each category provides a "pull down" list from which you can select the value that most meets your need.

For example, if you are searching for a Boarding School for Girls Only, you would click on the arrow on the right side of the Program Type "box", select Boarding School; then click on the arrow on the right side of the Gender "box" and select Girls Only. Then click on List Programs.

Note: NATSAP programs are located throughout the United States, but not necessarily in every state.

There may be some specific terminology that describes the struggles your child is having, for example ADHD, anorexia, drug abuse, depression, etc. You can refine your search by using Keyword Search and entering a specific term. The Keyword Search cannot be used in combination with the Category Search.

Category Search
Search the NATSAP Directory by using any combination of the four lists below. Select a value from only the category or categories you are interested in filtering. You do not have to select a value from every list.

When the list is displayed, click on More Info for the description of the program where you will find contact information and their weblink.

Keyword Search
To refine your search, try putting in the term or terms (ADHD, anorexia, drug abuse, depression etc.) in our keyword search engine that best describes your child's struggles.

Program listings have been taken directly from the promotional materials of each member a
nd have been approved for publication. So, there is a chance that if we have a program that has had success in working with children struggling with the same issues as your child, that program will pop up as a result of your keyword search.

Please note that if there is not a match, that does not necessarily mean there are no NATSAP programs that would be appropriate for your child.

When the list is displayed, click on More Info for the description of the program where you will find contact information and their weblink.
