Therapist Position Open – Spring Ridge Academy

Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist to broaden their approach to clients and put to work valuable experience already gained.  Medical insurance is paid and salary is competitive.  This position is responsible for the therapeutic care of a minimum caseload of thirteen students in a Behavioral Health Boarding School environment.  The school is for adolescent girls between the ages of 14 and 17 and is privately funded.  The average stay for a student is 12 to 18 months.  The care includes individual therapy sessions, telephonic family therapy sessions, two caseload group therapy sessions, occasional psychoeducational groups.  The therapist directs and supports the movement of the student through the Phase Program at Spring Ridge Academy. The position reports directly to the Clinical Director.  The position requires alignment with the vision and philosophy of Spring Ridge Academy and representing it to their department and other departments, clients and parents.

Requirements

1.  Must understand, and approach therapy from, a Family Therapy/Systems point of view.  Must understand how family dynamics influences the development of adolescents and be able to address addiction issues from a developmental point of view.
2. Facilitate weekly, individual therapy sessions with the girls assigned to their    caseload
3. Facilitate bi-monthly telephonic family therapy with parents and student.
4. Facilitate group therapy sessions with their caseload.
5. Participate in the facilitation of Parent Challenge, Family I and Family II trainings.

Qualifications

1. Education:  Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
2. Experience: Minimum three years experience with adolescents and their families
3. Licensure:  Must be fully licensed in the state of Arizona.
4. Behavioral Health: Meet all Behavioral Health requirements -  Fingerprint clearance card; Health examination; TB test; CPR and First Aid Certified
