According to Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s CEO, your brand is what people say when you aren’t in the room. Every NATSAP school or program has a brand. Your brand starts with your name, logo, and colors, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s communicated through the way students, their families, your staff, the community and other stakeholders talk about your organization. It’s how you present yourself during a crisis such as COVID-19. It reflects your values, purpose, goals, activities and outcomes. Your brand is the impression people have about your school or program and how that image makes them feel. It’s your organization’s personality. In this session, Sheri Singer, president of Singer Communications and NATSAP’s PR consultant, talks about how to intentionally shape your school or program’s brand to create a positive feeling about your organization.
